About the KCA

Khayelitsha Christian Academy is an informal, community run care centre that looks after the pre-school needs of Mandela Park children in Khayelitsha, who are unable to afford state education. Since 2012, the school's intake has doubled in size due to growing demand in the community. In addition to providing education at this critical stage of early childhood development, the children receive two meals a day and are provided with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. We currently care for 46 children between the ages of 3 and 6 years.

We rely on the generosity of individual donations and corporate sponsorship to provide vital services needed to run the school. With the increased intake, the school has had to turn to corporate sponsorship to support the expansion needed.

Embrace your inner child - Brightening the Khayelitsha Academy

A while back Saratoga ran a crowdfunding campaign to clean up the school playground. After several months of planning we finally got our hands dirty!

SeeSawDo made incredible mural designs, which Saratoga staff, KCA parents and community brought to life!
